By Plane:
- From Frankfurt

Take tram line S2 or S3 to Hauptbahnhof Stuttgart, then change
to a train to Karlsruhe.

- From Karlsruhe/Baden

The buses available at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport will take
you to the train stations of Rastatt or Baden-Baden where you
will find trains leaving to Karlsruhe.
The Baden-Airpark-Express line will take you to Karlsruhe Hauptbahnhof.

By car:
- From the north (Frankfurt/Heidelberg):
- Autobahn A5 towards "Karlsruhe/Basel", take the exit Nr. 44 "Karlsruhe-Durlach" in the direction "Karlsruhe" (first exit). Continue on the "Durlacher Allee" until you see signs for the KIT (Campus Süd), then turn right onto the "Adenauerring" the next left is the entrance to the KIT.
- From the northwest (Köln/Koblenz):
- Take the Autobahn A61 until you reach A5. Continue as described in "coming fom the North"
- From the east (Munich/Stuttgart):
- Autobahn A8 towards Karlsruhe, take exit Nr. 41 "Dreieck Karslruhe" and merge onto the A5 direction "Frankfurt", then take the exit Nr. 44 "Karlsruhe-Durlach". Continue as described in "coming from the North"
- From the south (Basel/Freiburg):
- Autobahn A5 towards "Frankfurt", take exit Nr. 44 "Karlsruhe - Durlach". Continue as described in "coming from the North".
If you'd like to park your car on the campus you should ask for a parking permisson at the main gate of the campus (eastern entrance).
By Train:
- There are various connection possibilites to and from Karlsruhe using the Deutsche Bahn From the main plaza outside the train station, a number of Trams may be taken to get to the South Campus of the KIT (see public transport)
Public Transport:
- Karlsruhe has a very well built up public transport system. It is possible to get to and from Campus South of the KIT from any part of the city using the Tram network. Trams operate at 5 - 10 minute intervals. Timetables and routes can be downloaded from the website of the Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund (KVV).
